Our Partners
Storm is proud to partner with a number of organisations to help support individuals and community groups at times of need.
Through these partnerships Storm provides support for organisations to raise awareness and funds for their own cause, including the Starlight Foundation, Salvation Army and many more.
Victorian Women’s Trust
Storm has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with the VWT for more than a decade, striving towards true gender equality by helping to promote and build a society where women and girls can pursue any and all opportunities with respect, safety and dignity.
The Victorian Women’s Trust aims to create an equal future for all, by advocating for violence prevention, fair wages for equal work, and the equal representation of women and men in the decision making processes that shape our lives.

Starlight Foundation
While Storm players can make fans happy on the field, there is a significant motivation from the group to make a real difference off the field. Storm has partnered with the Starlight Children’s Foundation for four years shining the light on their amazing programs during the Big Purple Freeze each year at a dedicated home match at AAMI Park.
Starlight are dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children, adolescents and their families through a range of programs, including wish granting and a Starlight Express Rooms in every major children’s hospital in Australia.

ANZAC Day
Every year on April 25 we feel extremely privileged to run out against the Warriors in a game that honours ANZAC men and women.
The pre-game blackout ceremony is a moving tribute which sets the tone for the contest to follow, while our Trans-Tasman rivalry has produced blockbuster games of rugby league ever since the inaugural ANZAC Day clash in 2009 ended in a draw.
The ANZAC Day match also provides Storm with the opportunity to raise much needed funding for the RSL while we have hosted the Australian Defence Forces and New Zealand Defence Forces in a curtain raiser in years gone.
Our Government Partners
Storm are grateful of the support provided by local, state and federal government partners who help us deliver a range of programs and initiatives across Victoria.
We would particularly like to thank the Victorian Government, Hume City Council and the Australian Government for their continued support of important programs such as the State Rugby League Centre, In League In Harmony, School to Work and post-COVID support ensuring we can continue to provide Victorians with a NRL team to follow.
Sunshine Coast Lightning
In 2016, Melbourne Storm announced it would be part owners of the Super Netball franchise, Sunshine Coast Lightning, in a joint venture with the University of Sunshine Coast.
After winning back-to-back premierships in 2017 and 2018, Lightning are now considered one of the best start-up sporting teams in the world.

Melbourne Storm respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
