Despite only recording one win to start 2015, Cameron Smith is expecting rivals Manly to bring their best football to Melbourne on ANZAC Day.

Storm will host the Sea Eagles at AAMI Park in what will be the seventh consecutive ANZAC Day match in Melbourne on Saturday evening and Geoff Toovey's side enter the clash in 16th place with their last victory coming against Melbourne in Round 2.

"They've won one match this year and it was against us at Brookvale," Smith said.

"No matter what their performances have been like in recent weeks I'm pretty sure they'll be here to play their best game of footy all season as they always are against the Melbourne Storm.

"We're preparing that way as well."

Since a heartbreaking golden point loss in Townsville, Melbourne have recorded three straight victories with Smith highlighting his side's effort over the opening weeks of the season as a feature of Storm's game.

"The effort has been outstanding in all the matches this year," Smith said.

"A team that plays tough and has plenty of effort every week usually breeds consistency and that brings good performances and that's what we're after."
