Storm halfback Cooper Cronk will be sidelined for the next 3-4 weeks after scans revealed a low-grade meniscus tear in his right knee.
Scans this morning revealed the extent of the injury with Cronk to undergo surgery on Tuesday morning.
Cronk suffered the injury late in the second half of Storm’s 20-0 victory over Penrith on Saturday night.

After pulling up well on Sunday morning and medical staff confident the injury would respond well to treatment during the week, Cronk woke on Monday morning with the knee feeling worse and was sent for scans.
Playing any further would put Cronk at risk of further damaging his knee, hence the decision to have surgery and repair the tear was decided as the best course of action.
Cronk informed Queensland coach Mal Meninga this morning of his injury and unavailability for Origin 2.
