Cameron Smith and Jesse Bromwich have both been named in rugby league’s prestigious World XIII.
A 28-member panel selected the world’s best of 2015 from rugby league’s elite, also ruling on the Golden Boot award which was won by North Queensland halfback Johnathan Thurston for the third time.
Storm Captain Smith was named as rugby league’s leading hooker ahead of NRL number nines Isaac Luke, Jake Granville and Michael Ennis as well as England’s James Roby.
Jesse Bromwich, Melbourne’s Player of the Year in 2015 also joined elite company making the team. The New Zealand international, who confirmed his status as one of rugby league’s premier props earned selection over representative forwards James Graham, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Aaron Woods.
