It is less than a month until Storm kick-off season 2016 but Craig Bellamy’s side may have to do it without Cameron Munster according to the coach.
Munster was in stellar form at the Auckland Nines on the weekend before injuring his knee during the Club’s quarter-final win over North Queensland.
He has been given a 4-6 week period of recovery, placing him in doubt for Melbourne’s Round 1 opener against the Dragons on March 7.

“It is going to be a bit of a stretch, I think it is going to be a bit longer than that (Round 1),” Bellamy said.
“It is not ideal, when it first happened we all probably thought the worse to be quite honest. It is bad enough but it could have been worse.
The injury was the only down point during an outstanding weekend of results that saw the Club reach the semi-finals, it’s best result across the three years of the competition.
“It was unfortunate with Cameron getting hurt, especially going into that semi-final, he would have been very handy in that,” Bellamy said.
“Obviously our concern now is getting ready for when the competition starts.”
