After a big pre-season filled with plenty of hard-word and training it is obvious why Jesse Bromwich cannot wait for Saturday to arrive.
The star prop has been named to play in this weekend’s trial against the Bulldogs at Belmore.
It will be Bromwich’s first hit-out of 2016 as the team fine-tunes preparations for their Round 1 clash against the Dragons at AAMI Park on March 7.

The 26-year-old had a supporting role with the coaching staff at the Auckland Nines and last week watched on during Storm’s trial against Wests Tigers.
The Club has been managing Bromwich’s workload after he also took part in New Zealand’s tour of the UK prior to Christmas.
However on Saturday the NRL’s premiere big man will return to what he does best and that thought has left him understandably counting down the days.
“It’s been good getting fit and ready for the season but I am really looking forward to this first trial, I can’t wait,” Bromwich said.
“All pre-season I’ve been training hard, it’s been tough but I’m just looking forward to getting out on the field and putting some of the things we’ve been working on in training into practice.
“It is important for me to go into the game and try and lead for some of the young forwards in our team to try and pick up where I left off last year.”

Bromwich urged the purple faithful to help lift the players as they strive for success in 2016.
“It is massive for us players, we love playing at AAMI Park. There is nothing better than playing when it is packed out and everyone is wearing purple,” he said.
“We are really looking forward to the home games and our fans getting there.”
