Storm outlast Titans in Double Header

7' The Titans make a move forward but Billy Slater is up to the task, diffusing the Ash Taylor grubber kick and sending Storm into attack.

23' Gold Coast scramble in attack and make the most of a fresh set of six, scoring their first try of the evening. Brenko Lee fought his way over the try line in his first match as a Titan before Michael Gordon added the extra two points. Melbourne 8 Gold Coast 6

28' A Storm error on half way lets the Titans in and Dale Copley finishes the quick transition into attack to give his side the lead. Gordon converts again and we now trail. Melbourne 8 Gold Coast 12

33' Continuing to carry the momentum, Gold Coast extend their lead with a penalty goal from virtually directly in front. Melbourne 8 Gold Coast 14

2ND HALF: Ryley Jacks won't return to the field after suffering a head knock.

47' Both sides trade sets but are unable to add to the scores early in the second stanza.
