Re-signed Storm forward Felise Kaufusi believes Melbourne is where his best football will be played as he looks towards a long future at the club.
Speaking on Tuesday after committing to Storm for a further two seasons (with an option for an additional two years), Kaufusi couldn't hide his excitement at remaining in purple.
"It feels great – I'm really happy to re-sign with Storm and am looking forward to the years ahead,"
"It's a bit of icing on the cake (having my brother here) it's always good to have family around.
"We sat down with my manager and my wife and little family to speak about some things.
"Every question we asked ourselves, the answer was Melbourne Storm."
Kaufusi has blossomed in the Storm system, earning international honours at the end of 2017. After winning a premiership with Melbourne, Kaufusi made his Test Debut with the Kangaroos at the World Cup.
The feat came after Kaufusi joined the Maroons as 18th man throughout the Origin series with the Bundaberg born Queenslander closing in on an Origin debut.
"I think this (Melbourne) is where I can play my best footy," Kaufusi said.
"It's a bit of security there, leading into the future.
"I'm looking forward to staying here long term and doing my best for the club."
