A desperate opposition is a dangerous opposition.

That is the predicament Craig Bellamy's side will be faced with on Saturday night when Canberra come to AAMI Park in the hopes of keeping their finals hopes alive.

Currently three games behind the top eight, the Raiders know they must go through the remaining six games unbeaten if they are to have any chance of experiencing September action.

When the stakes are that high you can be certain Ricky Stuart will have his team throwing everything to topple the top of the table Melbourne.

"They are a big pack... it is up to us to try and get in front and defend as well as we can," Felise Kaufusi said.

"I think we've been doing that the last couple of weeks so we will fall back on that.

"Every team that plays against us always goes up another level. The fact they have to try and win every game is going to make it that little bit harder and an even harder task for us."

Storm and the Raiders kick-off at 7.30pm this Saturday night at AAMI Park.
