On Friday night, Storm will again honour our servicemen and women, past and present, by wearing our 2020 ANZAC Day jersey in our game against the Warriors.
This year, we will be acknowledging the 80th anniversary of the first deployment of Australian forces to the battlefields of the Mediterranean in World War II.
Operation Compass, which began in 1940, was the first large military operation of the Western Desert Campaign and a major success for the Allied forces.
The Warriors will also be wearing their commemorative ANZAC Day jersey as part of the two clubs’ continuing collaboration to honour those who protected, and continue to protect, the freedoms we enjoy.
