Queensland second rower and Storm premiership player Felise Kaufusi is happy to play State of Origin at the end of the year and focus on club footy.
"I compare Origin to a Grand Final intensity," he said to media on Thursday ahead of Friday night's round 11 clash with the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
"To play three games at that level on top of backing up for your club… I don’t see how Cameron (Smith) has done it for so long. Sometimes there's only a one or two day break.
"If anything I think it’s good not playing those extra games mid-season, we will stay fresher.
I don’t mind having Origin at the end of the year, it allows you to focus on club footy.

Kaufusi: 'We don't want to play them back into form'
"It’s awesome to be able to focus on the job week in week out for our club."
Brisbane have had only one win since the comp resumed and were handed a 48-0 shellacking by the Tigers in round 10, but Fus was wary about underestimating the Broncos.
"We don’t want to be the team that plays them back into form," he said.
"They have some dangerous players - I played with Brodie Croft for the last few years and I know how dangerous he can be.
"It will be interesting to see him on the opposite side of the field.
"He’s a quality player and we just don’t want to give (the Broncos) a sniff."
