Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy is making the most of every game he has left with captain Cameron Smith, and thinks the future Immortal would be an ideal representative coach.
The 37-year-old Storm captain remains uncommitted about whether he will retire or play on in 2021 and, as in previous years, he is not being swayed by constant speculation over his future.
Bellamy and his side are cherishing every game with their skipper, just as they have done in previous years when he was considering his future.
Bellamy today listed Smith as an ideal candidate to coach Australia or coach in State of Origin once his playing days are over.
"I think he would be an ideal representative coach, like the Origin coaches who do three games a year or the Australian side who don't play that many games.
“I think he would be outstanding as any sort of coach but he’s made the point that he doesn’t have that passion to put the time into a full-time role."
