New in 2021, the RedZed Report will provide updates direct from Storm HQ about our injury list, club news and all things footy. Keep an eye out each fortnight.
Injury Update
Frank Ponissi with the latest on our injury list ahead of round 1.
"Harry Grant (knee) should be back for round 4 or 5, he's still in rehab for now," Ponissi said.
"Dale Finucane (calf) will also be available between round 4 and round 6 - he's in rehab too.
"They will both be slowly integrated back into training in the next fortnight."
Aaron Pene (achilles) is back at full training and is a chance next weekend against the Eels.
"Brenko Lee (hamstring) is unavailable this weekend but is expected to be right for round two," Ponissi said.
"He's restricted to non-contact training at the moment.
"Max King (achilles) is still in rehab and we're unsure when he will return at this stage. Ryley Jacks and Marion Seve have returned to full training and will be available for selection."
Round 1 Preview
Your Premiers will take on title challengers South Sydney in the marquee clash of the 2021 season's opening round at AAMI Park.
Both sides cruised to big wins in pre-season trials, with Storm dismissing the Knights 30-10 and Souths defeating the Dragons 48-16.
Due to COVID restrictions, all tickets must be pre-purchased here.
Club Update
Premiership-winning halfback Jahrome Hughes has locked in a new contract that will extend his time with the club until the end of the 2024 NRL season.
"I'd be silly to leave this place. I love the club and I've fallen in love with Melbourne as well," Hughes told media this week.
You come to the Storm because you want to be a better player and a better person... no amount of money is worth more than that.

The club has signed a two-year partnership with family-owned, Melbourne-born company TRADIE.
The TRADIE logo will appear on the lower back of our jerseys - and you might see a sneaky TRADIE logo appear elsewhere if you keep a close eye on the action.
