Melbourne Storm representative back-rower Felise Kaufusi will be part of the NRL club for an eighth season after extending his contract until the end of 2022.
Kaufusi is just three games away from reaching 150 NRL games for Storm and was part of the premiership victories in 2017 and 2020.
Now 29, the Queenslander made his debut in round one of 2015 and has played 20-plus NRL matches in each of his last five seasons on top of 12 State of Origin matches for the Maroons, four Tests for Australia and three for Tonga.
Storm General Manager – Football Frank Ponissi said Kaufusi had developed into a forward leader for Storm.
"He’s an integral part of our forward pack and has stepped up to our leadership group, helping our younger forwards on and off the field," he said.
"The Kaufusi family has had a proud history with Storm, starting with Antonio back in 2003 before Felise and then Patrick wore the purple jersey.
"We’re sure Felise has plenty of good football in front of him and love having his wife Bec and children as part of our wider Storm family."
