Celebrating his 50th NRL match, Harry Grant put in yet another strong performance on Friday night. 

Two minutes into the first half the hooker went over the score line, ringing in Storm’s 5th try of the evening. On field for 74 minutes, he went on to record 2 try assists, 2 tackle breaks, 10 runs for 118 metres, 1 line break, 1 line break assist and 31 tackles. 

Recognised for his effort, Grant was also named Channel 9’s Man of the Match.

Yet another double milestone game for the Club, first-year Storm player Josh King marked his 100th first-grade game in the Round 23 clash. 

Coming off the interchange for 51 minutes, King produced 154 run metres, 22 tackles with an 88% efficiency and 52 post-contact metres.

For the 12th year running, Melbourne Storm have once again guaranteed their place in the NRL finals. 

Going on to take the top prize in 3 of those appearances, alongside 2 minor premierships, the Storm side are no stranger to taking their game to another level at the business end of the year.

Nick Meaney had one of his strongest performances on kicking duties in the purple jersey on Friday night, successfully kicking 10/11 goals. 

Equating to a 90% conversion rate, the fullback turned five-eighth secured 20 of Storm’s 60 points through 9 conversions and 1 penalty goal late in the second half.

Possessions and completions were at the forefront of Melbourne’s game on Friday night, coming out as the clear leaders in time with the ball. 

Maintaining possession for over half an hour, 63% of the game, Storm were able to record a solid 83% completion rate.
