In his third season in Melbourne, Cooper Johns made four appearances at NRL level, filling a key playmaking role among the Storm spine in crucial end-of-season matches.    

The halfback produced good numbers across his four games with 3 try assists, 4 line break assists and an 89.2% tackle efficiency and arguably produced his best performance in Storm’s 16-0 away victory against reigning Premiers Penrith. 

When not on the first-grade field, Johns continued with the Melbourne Storm feeder club, Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Queensland HostPlus Cup. From eight appearances, Johns found his form, scoring a try, recording four try assists, 177 kicking metres, 4 line breaks and finished the year with a strong 92.9% tackle efficiency.
