Storm backs Justin Olam and Xavier Coates have been named to headline a strong Papua New Guinea squad for the upcoming World Cup.
A proud Papua New Guinean, Olam will make his eleventh appearance in the yellow and red after becoming a key figure in the Kumuls outfit. Earlier in the year, Olam and his teammates secured a decisive Test win over Fiji over Representative weekend.
Coates will also make his return to the international stage after last joining the Kumuls in the 2019 Test against Samoa. Following a solid season on the Melbourne wing, the 21-year-old is sure to bring his try-scoring abilities to the UK.
The Kumuls will embark on their World Cup campaign when they face Tonga on Wednesday 19 October in Leeds.
