Felise Kaufusi: Season in Review

A leader amongst Storm’s back rowers, the 2022 season saw the end of Felise Kaufusi’s career in the purple jersey.

Maintaining his signature hard-hitting nature, three tries, four line-breaks, six line-break assists, a 92.4% efficiency from 575 tackles and over 2,000 total run metres rounded out the forward’s season.

Kaufusi added to his representative tally at Origin level throughout the middle of the year featuring twice for the Maroons. A try, a line-break and three tackle-breaks in the second match, the second-rower maintained his hard-hitting nature.

The 30-year-old will end the season returning to his Tongan roots. Following selection in the Ma’a Tonga squad headed to England for the upcoming World Cup, Kaufusi will run out on Wednesday 19 October to face teammate Justin Olam and Papua New Guinea at Totally Wicked Stadium.
