Team Update: ANZAC Round v Warriors

Injuries have forced Melbourne Storm to withdraw two players from its squad for the Anzac Day match against the NZ Warriors at AAMI Park tomorrow night.

Dropping out of the 22-man list named last Tuesday are bench forwards Alec MacDonald (elbow) and Tom Eisenhuth (hip flexor) who were unable to take part in Captains Run training today.

Storm has received an NRL exemption to include forward Tepai Moeroa in its gameday squad of 19 after he was not named in the initial squad.

The front-rower, whose last NRL appearance came against Newcastle in round eight last season, made his return from injury for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Hostplus Cup 10 days ago. He has been named as 19th man, with Grant Anderson as 18th man.

Coming into the 17 to replace MacDonald and Eisenhuth are forward Aaron Pene for his first game with Storm since returning to the club from the Warriors at the end of 2022 and the versatile Tyran Wishart for his first NRL match since round four.

Kick off will be at 7pm following the Anzac Day cultural performances and ceremony which begin at 6.36pm.
