Melbourne Storm Captain Christian Welch is facing a one match ban after being cited for dangerous contact following Storm’s Round 15 win over Cronulla at AAMI Park.
The NRL’s Match Review Committee deemed the incident, which came in the 76th minute of play as grade two dangerous contact. Welch faces a two-match suspension if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge at the NRL Judiciary.
Melbourne Storm travel to Campbelltown in Round 16 to face Wests Tigers on Saturday night.
