Nick Meaney hot run with the boot continued on Friday night, slotting seven straight conversions to extend his goal kicking streak out to 19.

 While his run would ultimately come to an end after his attempt from the sideline was waived away in the 76th minute, Meaney’s impressive haul has lifted him to joint-top of the goalkicking charts with 70 goals for the season.

Storm will now gear up to return to AAMI Park to face the Canberra Raiders in Round 24, a venue they haven’t tasted defeat at since March this year.

In a pleasing sight for Storm fans, Friday night’s strong victory against the Eels saw the Storm attack click into gear in a big way, running in eight tries.

It marks only the second time Storm have scored more than forty points in a match, last achieving the feat in their dominant 54-10 win over the Sharks at AAMI Park in Round 15.
