For the final time in 2024, all three of Storm’s junior representative teams were in action on the weekend, running out for Rounds 4 and 9 at Comely Banks Reserve.
Storm’s Jersey Flegg side produced a strong performance across the board to register its second win of the season, defeating the travelling Kaiviti Silktails 36-10 in their Round 4 clash.
Back playing at home in front of local support, it was a dream start for the hosts, Hugo Peel scoring in just the 1st minute of play.

A clever trickshot off the back of the scrum produced the goods, Stanley Huen kicking on first tackle for a flying Peel who showcased his electrifying pace to win the race to the ball and open Storm’s account.
After being the beneficiary of the first try, it was Peel who was the architect for Storm’s next, firing a sublime cut-out pass to Siulagi Pio who despite still having plenty to do, beat his opposite number to score in the corner.

Storm continued to pile on the pressure, tries to Jak Goulding and Matthew Hill in the 15th and the 31st minute giving Storm a commanding 20-0 lead at the break.
Coming out of the break, the Silktails found their first points of the contest but Storm responded thanks to an intercept from Pio who nabbed the footy and raced away to score in the 46th minute.
Storm’s right edge continued to fire, Hudson Brown putting Liam Williams through a hole to score and then Stanley Huen using some footwork to put the icing on the cake for the 36-10 win.
Meanwhile, it wasn’t to be for Storm’s SG Ball and Harold Matthews sides, Storm’s SG Ball side going down 40-6 and the Harold Matthews side narrowly beaten 32-28 to the Bulldogs.
