Storm forward Eli Katoa has avoided suspension for a tackle on Tristan Sailor that saw him sent to the sin bin in Thursday's win over the Broncos.
The back rower has been hit with a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge and is facing an $1,800 fine with the early guilty plea or $2,500 if he fights the charge and loses.
Either way, he is free to play in the opening week of the NRL finals.
