A sea of purple is expected for Storm’s round six clash against the Warriors on an AFL-free weekend in Melbourne at which the club will celebrate multicultural round in this highly anticipated trans-Tasman rivalry.
The annual ANZAC Day ‘blackout’ will again be a feature of the season when Storm take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs in what is likely to be another big crowd in round eight at AAMI Park.
The momentum will continue in the second half of the season when Storm takes on a number of this season’s final eight contenders with games against the Cowboys, Sharks, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs and Roosters all at home.
Melbourne Storm CEO, Justin Rodski, hopes to build on the strong home crowds in 2024, which saw an average of over 20,000 fans attending home games at AAMI Park.
“Our members and fans really showed up this season. We have a great draw in 2025 that we hope will help us fill every seat, every game,” Rodski said.
“We have invested heavily in the match experience, AAMI Park is a world class venue and we have a team playing an exciting and tough brand of rugby league. We can’t wait for the season to start and to have the purple army out in force cheering our boys to victory.
“Our annual ANZAC Day match is always a highlight of the fixture and we expect to see huge crowds attending our bumper opening to the start of the season with home games against Parramatta, Penrith, and the Warriors.”
Storm will have a maximum 12 games broadcast live on Nine in the 2025 season while all matches will also be available on Fox Sports and streamed on Kayo and 9NOW.
This season, with support from City of Casey , Melbourne Storm will play its second trial match on Sunday 23 February at Casey Fields against the Cowboys.
Further information about ticketing for both the trials and regular season matches will be provided in the coming days.
