Biography:

The first of four new signings for 2023, Joe Chan joined Storm on a two-year contract from the Catalan Dragons after making 12 Super Rugby appearances.

Son of Storm player #71, Alex Chan, Joe returns to Melbourne excited to find a new home and family back in Melbourne.

Appearing in 18 matches of Brisbane Tigers 2023 Premiership winning season, the 21-year-old registered five tries, 1,909 total run metres, 320 tackles and 48 tackle-breaks, taking home the Tigers Rookie of the Year award.

The St Clair Comets junior went on to become Storm player #233 when he made his debut in the final round of the 2023 season, the latter half of Storm’s first father-son duo to don the purple jersey.
