MELBOURNE Storm captain Cameron Smith has told teammates to put talk of a historic third successive minor premiership to bed before an expected Newcastle ambush on Saturday night.

Smith issued the notice less than 24 hours after the premier thumped Penrith 40-6 in Penrith.
