Melbourne Storm have today signed Ryley Jacks to a new one-year contract extension.
In a boost to the Club’s playmaking stocks, the deal will see 25-year-old remain in Melbourne until at least the end of the 2018 season.
Recruited in the off-season from feeder side Sunshine Coast Falcons, Jacks has made a bright start to his NRL career.
An impressive pre-season saw Jacks rewarded with an NRL debut in Round 1 against the Bulldogs.
He remained in the side for the opening eight weeks of the season, forming a rock-solid pairing alongside Cooper Cronk in the halves.
Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi said the Club was pleased to retain Jacks beyond this season.
“Ryley has done everything right from the moment he walked into AAMI Park at the end of last year.
“He has all traits that we value highly in our players; great work ethic, an outstanding attitude and he is passionate about constantly trying to improve himself.
“Ryley fits in really well with our playing group and we have no doubt he will continue to improve as a player with the more experience he gains in our system.”
In other news, forward Dean Britt has informed the Club he will be departing at the end of the season. The Club wishes Dean all the best for the future.
