Not many people can match Dale Finucane for size and toughness these days.
However in his junior days the Storm prop admits to being outshone by current Jillaroos star Kezie Apps.
The two are close friends after playing junior football together for the Bega Roosters.

Finucane and Apps were teammates up to Under-12s level before Apps was unable to run around with the boys anymore.
It certainly was not down to a lack of skill.
As Finucane points out, his great mate was head and shoulders above anyone else on the field – boy or girl.
“She wasn’t just better than me, she was better than all of us. She was one of the best players in the team,’” Finucane told the Daily Telegraph.
“She was a really good tackler. She put a lot of force in them.
“There was another girl in the comp as well. Actually, a lot of the guys were jealous because they were both usually better than us.’’
Apps, the 2016 Dally M Female Player of the Year, remembers those junior days fondly playing alongside Finucane.
“I always say that when we were juniors I taught Dale everything he knows,” Apps joked.
“He came to the Bega Roosters in the under-nines and we played together in the Under-12s and we are really still great mates.”
